A/N: I hate Physics. This is what I'm doing instead of studying something that has the words angular and impulse in it. I know I'm gonna fail, might as well do something productive with my time, right? :) Friday is sitting in my drafts folder, because I can't seem to make it end the way I want it to without it being cheesy or cliche.
Disclaimer: JK Rowling can afford to KILL Physics.

James was panting as he ran, tearing through bushes and shrubs, his heart bursting with exertion; yet he would not give up. Only one thing passed through his mind as he ran. Lily. He had to find her. He swore to her that he would protect her no matter what. He gave her everything he had to give, and if it came to it, he would add his life to that list. Lily, Lily, Lily.
A large blast from up head, a loud boom from behind, fleeing people right and left. Lily had to be here, somewhere. She was safe, under the circumstances. He could feel it; but where? Where was-
Lily.
Oh, shit.
As if James wasn't running fast enough, he kicked it into high gear. He felt as though his heart would explode any second. He'd take that rather than whatever curse would befall Lily if he didn't-
CRASH!
'JAMES!' exclaimed Lily. half out of pain, and half out of surprise. He had pushed her to the ground just as the green jet of light flew inches by his feet. He looked at Lily, inspecting her for signs of any damage. There didn't appear to be any, and he breathed a sigh of relief.
'Come on, Lily, let's get out of here. Quick!' He helped her off the ground, but they weren't getting away that easily. An enemy clad completely in black from head to toe appeared, grinning maliciously.
'Going somewhere?' he said, aiming at Lily's forehead, mostly to annoy James.
'Shit!' James exclaimed, and he and Lily ducked and ran as fast as they could while zig-zagging to lose the enemy. They took cover under a large tree, catching their fleeing breath. They had both lost their arms (a/n: as in weapons, not limbs) earlier, leaving them both completely vulnerable and defenceless. As their heart rates finally returned to normal, they looked at eachother. 'How long before we're found, d'you reckon?' asked James.
'I don't know, but we're going to have to clear out soon, before they come looking', said Lily. Suddenly, as if on cue, a twig snapped behind them. Without a second to spare, they climbed the tree like two frightened squirrels. James was almost completely obscured by leaves, but he was not fast enough. An enemy burst through the bushes, and shot James squarely in the back. He tumbled out of the tree, and fell with a mighty thud. 'Lilyyyy!' he cried, before the wind was knocked out of him.
Lily gasped, and jumped out the the tree. 'Are you okay?' she demanded, kneeling next to him, brushing his hair out of his face.
'What are you doing?!' he croaked, inhaling like a thirsty man confronted with water. 'Save yourself!'
She sighed as she dragged him outside to the lobby area and took off her helmet. 'If laser tag was this bad, imagine what would've happened had I taken you paintballing instead!' she exclaimed, hands on her hips. 'Quidditch is better for your health!'
A/N: HA! Bet you didn't see that one coming :D ! I hope this wasn't too pathetic. I just had to. Thanks for reading, and review, please :)
