Prologue
Batman walked into the theater, where a large stage sat on the edge of the room. Above him was a large mezzanine covered with red felt and pillars every twenty yards. He saw a black and white movie credit screen. "THE TERROR" was emblazoned on the screen in front of a ruined farm setting. He saw a woman, not much older than 30, sitting gagged and standing up with her legs tied. She was a beautiful woman, and her name was Talia al Ghul. She was one of the only few people who knew Batman was the billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne. She was the daughter of the immortal head of the League of Assassins, Ra's al Ghul. She said something, which was muffled by her gag. Suddenly, a tall, thin man in a bright purple suit with a dying flower in the lapel walked out of the stage exit. A green button-up shirt was underneath his suit, and he wore plum velvet pants with pinstripes. He may have donned odd attire, but his face and hair were even odder. His entire face was white, and a red clown makeup smile was over his real mouth. His hair was green and receding. His name was the Joker, and he was a criminal extraordinaire. "Well, well, well. It's the amazing Batman." He said with mock admiration. "I was just so worried you wouldn't show up." He grinned. "What do you want, Joker?" Batman said fiercely. "Oh, come on! I can't just kidnap your girlfriend just to talk to you? That's not fair! Show some respect, Bats!" Batman snarled and grit his teeth. The Joker had been his long standing arch-enemy, and often did things like this in his obsession of jokes, riddles, and anything involving laughing or death. Batman advanced on the stage, and the Joker pulled out a gun. He pointed it at Talia's head. "One more step, Bats, and I splatter her pretty little brains on the floor." Joker chuckled maniacally, "And we both know, I have the cure. If I don't co-operate, you die." Talia whimpered. Batman had been poisoned by the Joker with the same thing that had been killing him. Unfortunately, Joker had gotten the cure first. Or so it seemed. He laughed like a lunatic, and stopped suddenly. "Don't do this, Joker." Batman growled. "You don't want this to get messy." "Honestly Bats," Joker said, "I could care less." Suddenly, Talia made a move. She pulled out a sword that had been sheathed at Joker's side, and ran it through his back.
I will make a chapter 2 to this later.
