Author's Note:

This story takes place after New Moon, with some slight changes.

Edward stays away from Bella, Bella never jumps off the cliff, Bella marries Jacob, and they now have a child named Anne. Oh, and Jake and his pack kill Victoria ^_^

I'm a Bella/Edward fan, but I've always wondered what would happen if Bella got old.

And so our story begins twelve years after New Moon, with Bella at age thirty.

She's ooooold.

I'm probably not going to write much with this one. A standard four or five-paragraph should do it.

Yours truly,

Fifteen Noodles

"Don't worry about the plane ride, sweetie. It'll be fine."

I kissed Anne on the forehead and headed into the car. We were going on a family vacation to California for a week, and, since she'd never been on a plane before, her four-year-old mind was imagining everything that could go wrong.

"But Mommy, what if the plane falls into the lake? We'll have to swim so, so, sosososososo far!"

"Now I promise, if the plane falls, I'll swim with you on my back all the way to shore," I vowed with a chuckle. This was my life now, and I didn't regret a minute of it. Anne and Jacob were the center of my universe, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

We'd stayed in Forks all this time, due to Jacob wanting to stay with his pack. I was fine with that; whatever made him happy made me happy. He'd learned to age now, anyway. We were, however, taking a family vacation to Los Angeles for a week, starting today. It was 5:00 A.M., and we had to catch our flight soon.

By the time we'd arrived at the airport, it was close to 6:00. I sighed; it was far too early to fly to L.A. Next time, I'd make sure the flight departed later.

We arrived at the terminal when Anne wanted a snack. I walked past the fast-food resturants and the gift shoppe to arive at Starbucks. I picked her up a giant M & M cookie, and headed back.

As I walked back, I was lost in my own world. I hadn't realized that I was walking the wrong way, towards another terminal, when I knocked into someone and fell to the floor.

"I'm sorry, let me help you with that," said a voice from above me. The voice was very farmiliar, a voice I hadn't heard in a long time, the voice of someone who'd hurt me so much that it pained me to think about him long ago. I'd gotten over that, though.

I stared up at his face, curious. He was still a kid.

"Edward Cullen? Good to see you again," I said, friendly.

He instantly shied away- did he still hate me?- but finally responded.

"Isabella Swan, long time, no see," he said, and I realized that he was trembling.

"Still 17, I see," I commented with a chuckle.

"Yes, and you're..." he started to reply, but stopped himself.

"You can say it; I'm old!" I burst out laughing. He had never been one to make mistakes like that before, but I found it hilarious when he did.

No pain was resurfaced this time. We were like old friends; or, at least, I was. He still seemed off.

"How's life been treating you, Bella? Do you still like to be called that, or--"

"No, Bella's okay. Well, I'm married and I have a daughter, Anne," I responded.

This seemed to pain him. I could plainly read it on his face; he was crushed.

"Who's the lucky man? Mike?"

Now the laughter had turned hysterical.

"Newton? You're kidding, right? No, no, Jacob Black," I responded, voice ringing at his name.

He seemed even more mortified than before. His face was paler than I'd ever seen it before, and before he regained composure to his face and started to speak, I cut him off.

"So, have you found a girl yet?"

"No, not... yet."

He sucked in a hard breath, and finally broke the silence.

"I should be... going now," he murmured, and walked away.

Back at the terminal, Jake said I smelled weird. I chuckled yet again, and boarded the plane.
