Hello everyone. I wrote this up because I wanted to participate in a contest that one of the forums I go to were having. I hope it is okay, the goal was short and sweet. Inspired by the Dissidia ending, well Cloud's ending anyway. Thanks for reading!

So much has happened...
So often I have felt like I was drowning...
Empty...
....
But not anymore.
As I stand here is this field of flowers
It's as if my soul is finally at peace....
Calm....
The breeze is slightly warm, almost as it is a soft hand gently stroking my face.
Everything feels so welcoming and alive here.
So now as I stand here, waiting....its as if I have done this before.
And though that is confusing, it is exciting at the same time.
"Cloud."
Did someone call my name or was it the wind playing a trick on my ears?
I am walking now, even though I am not exactly sure where I am going, I feel I have a purpose and....
Someone to meet.
After a little while I stop dead in my tracks.
All the memories, all the emotion of different lifetimes come back to me as I see her.
She is standing there and it is then that I remember that I have something in my hand, and it belongs to her.
I finally have something to give her.
As she turns she is smiling, her green eyes are sparkling like emeralds and there is that hint of mischief I have seen before just below the surface.
"Oh Cloud, you still don't get do you?
You came for me...
You remembered me...
You fought for me...
You wanted to find me again.
That is more than anyone could ask for.
And now I can finally give you something..."
My breath catches as she put hers hands behind her back and leans in very closely.
I am frozen; not sure what to do.
Then in an instant she throws her arms around me in a tight embrace and I immediately return the favor.
And then I hear her whisper something that makes my heart leap and want to burst at the same time.
"A life, together."
