The Brother Talk
"Thank you for your time Nikaidou-sensei." The tall green-haired boy bowed. Yuu sweat-dropped, then nodded, putting up his hands.
"Um, I-it's alright." The older man didn't know how such a young boy could be so protective about matters concerning his sister. As Yuu walked away, Kairi stared after him sternly. He shook his head and willed himself to trust the man. Kairi leaned his head back over the back of the bench that was placed next to the fountain (A/N: You know, that bench in EP 33). He heard faint footsteps near him and dismissed it as nothing, until they stop in front of him. He lifted his head to see his upperclassman and the Jack before him.
"Hey Sanjou, I'd like to have a talk with you." Kukai grinned at the younger boy, who looked at him quizzically. Kukai took a seat next to Kairi and leaned his elbows on his knees clasping his hands together. Kairi waited patiently for the older boy to speak. "You're going out with Yaya aren't you?" Kairi stiffened.
"Y-yes." He stammered. Kukai chuckled.
"Lighten up Sanjou." Kairi relaxed a bit and smiled. "I've known her for a long time. I just wanted to make sure that you'd take care of her." Kukai stared at the kids playing in front of them. "Yaya is very young at heart, she doesn't know what it's like to hurt." Kairi stared in amazement about how much depth the jock had.
"Souma-kun, you wouldn't…" Kairi trailed off, unable to bring himself to say it. Kukai looked puzzled. Kairi caught his looked and blushed, pushing up his glasses.
"Ooooh, I see." Kukai exclaimed. "Don't worry, I don't like her. She like my little sib." Kukai grinned.
"Who isn't?" Kairi muttered under his breath.
"Hm? What was that?" Kukai asked after hearing Kairi mumble something.
"Ahh, n-nothing." The younger boy stuttered.
"Well, anyway, I entrust her to you, Sanjou, take good care of her." Kukai patted Kairi on the back.
"O-okay." Kairi stammered and got up, ready to leave.
"Thanks for your time, Sanjou!" Kukai called after him.
"It's alright!" Kairi called back. Kukai sighed and put his arms behind his back. He'll take care of her, Kukai thought, then furrowed his eyebrows, he better. There was a rustle in the trees across from him. Squirrels, Kukai noted. That is, until a massive cat jumped down. Kukai stared in shock as the older boy walked towards him.
"Hey, Souma. I'd like to have a little chat with you." Ikuto demanded.
