That girl in the mirror
Who is she? I do not know
Her skin, deathly white
Is like snow- Bitter snow

Her mouth, a silent line
Is sewed shut by the pain
The words she tries to utter
Fall dead, like silent rain

That girl in the mirror
Why does she look so thin?
A living corpse, a skeleton
Why does she look so grim?

Her eyes-Oh, those eyes!
Morbidly grey and dead
Has she been crying?
The grey is rimmed with red

That girl in the mirror
Why is she all alone?
In that bare, dark room
Of that bare, dark home

Those tears on her face
Why are they there?
Staining trails down her cheeks
Does she even care?

That girl in the mirror
Who is she? I cannot recall
She is dead to the world
She is dead to us all
