Grand Finale
A short one shot about what happens after the final battle. Written to be the heroine and left anonymous to be whichever male character the fangirls out there want it to be!
"So what happens now?" he asked.
They were in Geo now. She had restored the Mana Tree, and everything was right with the world. There were no more evils to face, the world had been saved, and sitting around a sandy, old city was beginning to bore the two adventurers. They strolled through the streets of Geo, and though it was well after sundown, the city had a glow about it that never dimmed. He followed her, more out of habit than her assuming her normal leadership role.
"I don't know," she replied honestly. "I always felt like I was pulled into things, like some other force was guiding me. Now I feel… free. I think I might like to enjoy that. Maybe return to Domina with Bud and Lisa, you know?"
He nodded. He too, had often dreamed of settling down, having a home life. Circumstances before made it so he could not, but perhaps now?
"What about you? What will you do now that this is all over?" she asked, trying to sound casual. Her voice came out in a soft whisper that drew him in like magic.
She stopped walking, letting him catch up. He stared at her for a moment, captivated. When had things changed? When had she gone from being the impulsive girl he first met, to being the alluring woman she was. They had been through a lot together. They had saved dragons and Jumi, and had restored the Mana Tree. Their friendship had started out strained, but overtime it seemed like it had almost become something more.
Her eyes drew him in closer, he instinctively grabbed hold of her and found his lips locked against hers in a rough kiss that he would not let break. In the skies above them a burst of colored sparks lit the night with bright flashes, the moment the two adventurers touched.
The lights and loud bursts did nothing to break the lovers' embrace, and neither did the irate voice that followed.
"Mephianse! I thought we told you to cut that out!"
