All Gone
I stroke her face as it contorts in pain.
Tears are falling from my eyes
Trying to smile, I tell her it's alright
But even I know the inevitable is approaching
My heart burns when a cry of pain echoes
From her warm lips, which are now cold
I pull her closer in, squeezing her hand
Our eyes meet, and her body convulses
I know that it's time now
My whole body trembles as I let go
When I look at my love, it's not her anymore
Pointing the gun, and holding onto her name
I pull
I hear only myself breathing now
I close her lifeless eyes, and think to myself
She is All Gone, and that it was merely a Fleeting Attraction
But even the walls know I'm lying
As I walk away from my purpose
I hold onto her name and my overwhelming grief
I know what I must do with myself now
For her
For Riley Abel
