Summary: Peace has enveloped the Clans of the lake for many moons. But we all know peace never lasts long. The four Clans are each battling their own enemies, whether that be too many forbidden romances, murders, or another even another Clan. While all of the Clans are wrapped up in their own issues, an evil uprising has taken root, and only four young cats will be able to stop it.

Disclaimer – Nope. I wish I owned Warriors though. Smart authors…

Crash and Burn – Prologue

A claw moon glittered over the treetops, barely illuminating the dark forest floor. A black cat crept across the pine-needle strewn ground, its paws making no sound. An owl hooted loudly, causing the cat to stop in its tracks. The snow white bird swooped above it, taking little notice of the furry shadow. Shaking off what little fear had struck the cat, it continued its journey toward the edge of the forest.

Soon an ancient, long-abandoned twoleg nest came into view. The framework had almost completely crumbled in on itself, only a few unsteady pieces of wood made up what once might've been a roof. In the center of the floor inside the nest, two more cats waited patiently, eyes glinting in the sliver of moonlight.

The black cat dipped his head in greeting. One of the cats, a white tomcat with black speckles, stood and padded over to the black cat, flicking his tail at the second cat, a lean-muscled white she-cat.

"You came," the black cat meowed. The white tom blinked his yellow eyes, an almost confused look dusting his sharp features.

"Why shouldn't we?" he mewed. His voice was quiet, as if he was sure enemies would jump from the scant bushes any moment. The she-cat nudged him roughly. She then turned her poisonous green gaze to the shadowy black cat.

"What do you want?" Ice pierced her tone, but the mysterious visitor didn't flinch.

"I have a plan. A plan to reshape the lake Clans, create what was stopped moons before. We must bring back –" The tom cut the cat off.

"What's in it for us?" his voice was greedy. His companion shoved him. She nodded at the cat, which had a peeved expression on its features.

"As I was saying," the black cat growled, shooting a scathing glare at the tom, "the time has come for an ancient Clan to rise from the ashes. I need your help first. We must strike fear into the hearts of the strongest forest warriors, so they will then be putty in our paws."

"And how do you propose we do that?" the she-cat hissed, "Jump up behind them and shout 'boo'?" The tom snickered at the sarcastic remark.

The cat flicked one nicked ear in annoyance. "Figure it out," it growled. Standing up, it dipped its narrow head to the two cats. "And don't worry about not getting a reward for helping me," its silky purr could cause even the bravest of warriors to raise its hackles, "You will have all you want and more…" The rogues looked at each other, eyes glinting hungrily.

"But only if you help me," the black cat hissed, bringing the other two back to Earth. "Until then my friends, may StarClan light your path." It turned swiftly and bounded from the nest, paws not sending up the slightest of sounds. Then it stopped abruptly before the bushes, causing the white tom to flinch in surprise.

The black cat's face caught the moonlight, its unnaturally ruby red eyes sparking with deadly excitement. "BloodClan will rise again."

In a flash, the unnamed black cat was gone, and the night forest was silent once more.
