The Doctor pulled a lever on the console.
"Doctor, where are we going?" asked Rose as she held down a lever that was trying to resist.
"I'm taking you home, like you asked me to do five times now." said the Doctor exasperatedly. Just then, the TARDIS started shaking violently.
"Doctor! What's it doing?" Rose asked.
"I'm not sure, but I think we might be crashing!" shouted the Doctor over the loud rattling noises the TARDIS was making. The TARDIS lurched forward suddenly, sending both the Doctor and Rose tumbling to the ground. Then the shaking and rattling stopped.
"What's happened? Where are we?" asked Rose as she picked herself up off the floor.
"We've crashed through the time vortex." said the Doctor as he read the screen on the console.
"Which means?"
"We're in a different universe."
"I thought that wasn't possible!" said Rose.
"Yes, well, I often do the impossible, don't I?" said the Doctor as he opened the TARDIS doors." The universe they were in looked exactly the same as the universe they had just left. They walked down the street taking in every single detail. Everything was the same. Except for the curious and excited looks they were getting.
"Doctor, do you feel like you're being watched?" Rose asked quietly.
"That's because we are. Look, everyone staring at us." said the Doctor as he looked around. He waved at a girl who was staring at him in utter shock, who then promptly fainted. Then he felt a tap on his shoulder.
"Hello, I was wondering if I could have you're autograph?"
