Chapter 1 The Strange Girl

"Natsuko! "My mom called "Can you go pick up some groceries for me!"

"Okay." I answered as she handed me the groceries list.

As I walked to the door my little ferret named Meiko came to greet me. She started scratching at my legs and giving me a cute face, which of course meant she wanted to come along.

"C'mon you silly ferret." As I said giggling and I put her around my neck making her look like a scarf, and I walked out the door. As I walked down the market, it was completely crowded. The chatter of people was so loud I could barely hear the sound of my own voice. People advertized what they were selling, every few shops I would be stopped to be offered some jewelries, charms, and make up. Each time I would politely decline. I'm not into that girly stuff anyways. The only things I'd buy for myself are pastries and stuff like that. I checked off every item on the list until I only needed one item, apples. I went to a fruit stand and checked the quality of the apples, making sure I get the best ones. While looking I accidently dropped one and it rolled away.

"Hey come back here apple I'm not done checking you!" I yelled as I chased after the apple.

Then a young girl about age 12 picked it up, She had green eyes and long jet black hair , the ends blood red (kind of like my hair except I have blonde hair that is way shorter and I have orange hair before the red and my hair.l),and had a huge red bow in her hair that matched her short black dress with a red strap around her waist, she wore black hiking boots that was either newly worn or cleaned very well to look like it was, and there were two creatures with her one of them a wolf and the other one seemed like it was a giant bird-like creature about ten feet tall with a wolf's head.

"Maybe inspecting would have been a better choice than checking, it just sounds a bit weird." The young girl corrected me and handed me the now badly bruised apple.

"Oh and next time hold one apple at a time so you won't drop any. "

"Yeah I'll keep that in mind thanks." I said

"No prob." The girl replied and then she slightly smiled

"Here I'll pay for those apples." The girl said as she walked up to the store clerk and handed him the money.

"Thanks again, you know you didn't ha -"

"I know, I just wanted to be nice" the girl cut me off.

"No, you seriously really didn't have to do that. I'm not allowed to accept money from strangers unless I do something in return." I said

"Then let's no longer be strangers! Follow me to my house so we can get to know each other better." The young girl shouted and ran at an incredibly fast pace for her age.

"Hey wait up!" I yelled as I struggled to catch up to the mysterious young girl.
