It was the day after the final battle of Hogwarts, and Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny were walking down the halls together. They were coupled together, Harry and Ginny walking hand in hand, Ron practically carrying Hermione they were so close. They weren't paying attention to where they were going, but it didn't matter. Voldemort was dead, and with him Fred, Tonks, Remus, and too many other innocent people. When the foursome passed the place where the Room of Requirement was, a door materialized out of the wall. They all froze. Harry looked at the other three, and asked, "Did any of you ask for something?" Everyone shook their head. Then the door swung open, as if beckoning them in.

The Golden Trio exchanged worried glances, but Ginny just marched straight through the door into the room. Harry rushed in just a step after her, and Ron and Hermione just behind him. Ginny was standing in the middle of the room, looking into a mirror. Harry came up next to her and placed his hand in hers.

"I don't understand. What did the Room want us to look at a mirror for?" Ginny asked Harry, making eye contact with his reflection. Ron and Hermione came up behind Harry and Ginny, but still Harry only saw himself and Ginny.

Ron looked confused and pulled his eyes off the mirror and to Harry, and said, "I don't understand it Harry. You and Ginny are standing right in front of me, but I can only see me and Hermione. What is this?"

But then Harry smiled in recognition and turned to look at Hermione. "Hermione, do you know what this is?"

"No…I don… Oh!" Hermione's eyes widened as she looked at Harry then pulled her eyes back to the mirror.

"I don't get it, 'Mione, what is it?" Ron asked her.

But Harry answered for her, "It's the Mirror of Erised, Ron. It shows you the deepest desires of your heart."

"But, I don't see anything, I just see us. When we were 11 I saw myself as Head Boy, winning the House Cup, and as Quidditch Captain. Why did it change?"

"I guess you don't want that anymore. Dumbledore told me in my first year that a truly happy person would stand in front of the Mirror and see only himself standing exactly how he is. And I have everything I want right here with you, Gin." He said, turning his attention away from her brother, "I don't need anything else, or want anything else, just us."

Ginny pushed herself against Harry and kissed him with extraordinary force, which Ron and Hermione ignored.

"Ron, you really just see us?"

He nodded sheepishly.

"I didn't know that's how you felt about us, Ron."

"Of course that's how I feel, Hermione! How could you even ask?"

Hermione smiled tearfully at him, and answered, "I guess it's just too good to be true."

Ron just looked at her for a few seconds, and then pulled her into a kiss so hard she was sure her lips would be bruised tomorrow. But she didn't care, and he didn't care. The two separate couples kissed, and no one spoke for a very long time.
