"ROSE!" screamed The Doctor as Rose Tyler, The one he loved, fell into the void. Her scream of help was stuck in his head. She had trusted him, and he let her down. Then, a millisecond after Rose fell in, Pete appeared. By then The Doctor was screaming "NOOOOOOONOOOOOOONOOOOOOO!" And jumped in after her.
White. All there was was light. "Rose?" The Doctor whispered. "Rose?" He said again with more force.
Just then he heard a soft moan, and saw Rose in the middle of the light, half dead. "No. Nonononononononnono. This isn't right." He said. "She should be dead. I'm not complaining, but she should be dead!"
"Your right. You always were the clever one." He heard a voice behind him. He knew this voice. This was the voice of his nightmares. He whirled around, And saw the Master. "I am keeping her alive," He said "Because she is a link. I will incinerate her memories of you, Doctor, and replace them with the stuff of nightmares. She is my link to your head. These nightmares will make her so scared of you that she will run from you for her entire life."
No, thought The Doctor. No.
"And as a bonus, if you reverse what I do, she will die. But to stop this, you can do one thing. Give me your TARDIS. Then she may leave with her brain intact. Make your choice. The process is starting, so hurry up." And The Master disappeared.
Just then, Rose started writhing on the floor. She screamed. And she screamed NO. Over and over again until The Master came back to see if it worked. By then she was on her knees, and could scream at him " YOU WILL NOT!" And she let out a blood curdling scream, got up and pulled out a penknife. "Never." She said. Then the Master disappeared in fear of her. Then The TARDIS materialized and Rose went with The Doctor to many other places before returning home.
