Kurt was still asleep, so Blaine watched him. It was early morning and the sun was just starting to break through the blinds in Kurt's dorm, Blaine wished he could stop time and just look at Kurt's face for hours. He was so serene like this, still and breathing slowly, his eyes moved a little behind his eyelids and half his cheek was scrunched up from the pillow. He was naked and covered from the waist down with the blanket.
Blaine wanted to kiss his slightly parted lips and run his hands through his messy hair but he waited a moment. It was worth it to keep the peace in the air, no sounds but shallow breathing and light sound shifting of bed covers as Blaine moved closer to Kurt's body.
Blaine was dressed, he'd hated to leave Kurt alone but he had an early train and then a long flight back to Lima. He sighed and looked over at the clock again, time wasn't on his side, though it never was for them.
Kurt stirred a little at the movement and his eyes opened reluctantly, the light was making him squint.
"Hey you." He mumbled, smiling at the sight of Blaine curled up next to him but then noticed he was fully clothed and laughed under his breath. "Watching me sleep again Edward?"
Blaine snickered and reached over to tickle Kurt around his waist, effectively pulling himself on top of Kurt.
"Oh shut up I know you do it too, I've seen you when I was pretending."
"Have you now? Maybe next time I'll catch you faking and make you pay for it."
Kurt giggled when Blaine just nuzzled into his hair and kissed him on the cheek softly. He closed his eyes for a moment, just breathing in the smell of Blaine in the morning. He didn't tell him but this was one of the things that made him miss Blaine the most. The feel of his arms around him, the weight of him, but most of all his smell. After he left Kurt wouldn't wash his pillows until the scent had faded, it kept him from feeling alone at night.
Blaine took a long sigh and Kurt knew it was time.
"I have to go love." Blaine whispered, his voice breaking a little.
Kurt leant up and kissed him lightly on the lips and ran a hand over Blaine's cheek, holding him close for a long moment then pushing him gently off. They exchanged a smile that was full of promise, but Kurt could see the look in Blaine's eyes that made him want to beg him to stay every time. He knew this was as hard for Blaine as it was for him. Just as Blaine began to turn Kurt said softly, "Hey."
Blaine turned with his eyebrows raised a little.
"I'll be seeing you Anderson."
Blaine smiled wider now, walking over to the door singing under his breath, "In all the old, familiar places..."
