I saw you again with him today

The sight of him holding your hand

And you smiling back up at him

Made me really uneasy.

But what can I do?

You're happy aren't you?

And for me,

That's the best thing

I could give you…

Happiness…

I could still remember though,

The times we spent together

When the hours seemed to last forever.

Looking deep into those eyes

That sparkled more

Than the greenest

Of all emeralds.

I wish I told you then…

But now, it's too late…

Those pretty eyes are

Looking up at someone else now.

Your delicate hand,

Entwined with his.

And as I watch the two of you

Dance gracefully as if it were to be,

My heart weeps…

Crying out for you…

To cradle you…

Just one more time.

But then again,

Nobody could stop me

If I approached you

And told you

How I felt…

Wanting to hold you…

To be near you…

Unlike before,

When I said nothing…

Not one thing for you to know.

But what is this I see in your eyes?

Is this hope flickering within them?

As you pass by me as you dance?

Do I see yearning?

Do you feel the same urge I do?

Maybe, now is the time

I've always waited for since forever,

To tell you what

I've been meaning to say…

Those words I've always kept hidden.

But tomorrow, I will tell you all about it…

And ask for pity for not saying this too soon…

For letting you get hurt…

And if I was ever mistaken about what I saw,

Then I beg your pardon…

For misunderstanding what I perceived

For something that was only a dream to me.

Yet, if fate will it,

Then tomorrow, we'll be together.

Just as it was before…

Together that way. Forever with you.

Tomorrow then…Tomorrow.

Author's note: if you haven't figured it out yet, I wrote this poem in the point of view of Syaoran. Who's the other guy, you ask? I don't really know. I just felt really angsty and the final result is what you've just read. I wrote it in the event that Syaoran was (what we Filipinos call) "torpe" meaning too stubborn to admit his feelings for someone and in time, she started going out with another guy, too tired of waiting for him. I'm pretty sure that you already know whom I'm referring to through the "Looking deep into those eyes that sparkled more than the greenest of all emeralds…" line.

Well, that's that for now! I hope you enjoyed reading this mushy slash angsty slash pitiful free verse poem of mine. By the way, I did this to pass time while wallowing in self-pity when I just saw the guy I admired walking round with another girl.

Oh yeah, another thing, this poem was actually written 2-3 years ago. I just haven't had the time to type it in as I'm doing right now…
