I know I haven't written any fics lately, but I'm trying to write something... better. Please don't write any flames! LG of course!

Wow. I never thought that Lizzie would ever kiss me, plain ol'David Gordon. And for a second there, up on that balcony, I actually thought she meant it.

Gordo POV

I stood on the rooftop of the Hotel Cambini, thinking about what just happened. Lizzie McGuire, my best friend in the entire world, just kissed me. Lizzie kissed me. She kissed me. 'Maybe it was just a thank you kiss,' I thought. 'But she could have justsaid thank you. No, I think maybe... maybe she was trying to tell me something. Maybe... she meant it.'

"C'mon,Gordo, don't you want to go back to the party?" I was interrupted by my thoughts by the voice of an angel.

"Umm... yeah, let's go b..back." I said, looking a little uneasy. Why was she acting like this? I mean, she just kissed me. Doesn't that mean anything to her?

"So, are you going to miss it here? You asked me already."

"I think I will, actually. Rome is a very historical and romantic place to be. Don't you think?" I hinted to her.

"Romantic? I never thought of Rome that way. I mean, sure, it's really beautiful, but I've seen Rome the way Romans do," she giggled, "and it's more fun than romantic."

"Really? I thought you were falling for that Paolo guy," I said. I can't believe it! She kisses me and then expects us to be just friends?

"What! No! Paolo was a jerk. I can't believe that I actually believed him." Lizzie looked at me with a disgusted face. Even though I hate that face, I was relieved to know that I didn't have any competition.

But the way she looked at me was the way she looked at Miranda. I leaned back on the elevator door. 'She doesn't like me," I thought, tears forming in my eyes. 'She doesn't like me.'

I know that it was a little short, but it's just a preview. If enough people review, I'll write more!
