George returned to the Big Harbour after completing his job at sea.
"Ah George, you're back." Said the Dispatcher. "You can rest for a while and get your energy back before you go back to work."
"That's good." sighed George. "I'm worn out."
"Hello George!" Cried Hank "We're glad you're back!"
"Yeah we have a lot to tell you!" Added Theodore. "We made a new friend named Scally-"
"Listen Theodore, I know you're excited that George is back, but you two should go and let him rest for a while." the Dispatcher said firmly.
...
George was in the dock he shared with Foduck, attempting to snooze. He really was very tired after his job.
Suddenly he saw Emily approach him.
"George we had the strangest time while you were away!" She chirped.
George groaned and tried to ignore her, when Foduck cut in.
"Well, we did!" He said. "Come on George, You've heard nothing like it I reckon!"
"Look, can you please leave me alone?" George asked.
...
Theodore and Hank went to join Foduck and Emily.
"Look, Im interested to hear your story," said George. "But I am so tired, I feel like I would turn upside down! I just want to sleep for a bit before I hear your anecdote, okay?" He asked.
The tugs looked at one another guiltily.
"Sorry George." they apologized.
They departed to find something else to do whilst the big tugboat slept.
When they told George about Scally later, he had a good laugh, and told them about his job.
So the tugs had learned that sometimes you have to patient and you will get what you want.
