(Yes, this is a Little Shop of Horrors/Dr. Horrible crossover sort of fic but not really because only LSOH characters appear... eh whatever. And yes, I know I'm really only paraphrasing Audrey's speech. Also, for those saying this is OOC, this is basically an AU where the death of Audrey effected Seymour differently.)

Audrey lay in Seymour's arms. "It's the best gift I can give you. And if I'm in the plant, then I'm part of the plant. We'll see you grow so rich and successful and in a way we'll always be together... You'll wash/my tender leaves/you'll smell/my sweet perfume/you'll water me/and care for me/and watch me bud and bloom.../I'm feeling strangely happy now/contented and serene/Don't you see?/Finally I'll be/somewhere that's green..." She collapsed. The bloody bite marks from Audrey II's attack still showed, glaringly.

Seymour paused and thought. Audrey's words about being part of the plant applied to him, too. The plant's success was his success. Sure, the victory was pointless, with no Audrey to share it with. But it was still a victory... and Audrey II was about to grow some more... "Here lies everything/the world I wanted at my feet/My victory's complete/So hail to the king..."

In the background, Crystal, Chiffon, and Ronnete watched. "Everything you ever..."

Seymour picked up Audrey and began walking towards the plant. "So your world's benign/so you think justice has a voice/and we all have a choice/well now your world is mine..."

Crystal, Chiffon, and Ronnete once again: "Everything you ever..."

Seymour placed Audrey in Audrey II's mouth. "And I am fine!"

As background music plays, Seymour signs contracts with Patrick Martin, and the media fills with advertisements for the new Audrey IIs. Everyone loves them, but news footage comes up of them eating Cleveland, Des Moines, Peoria, and New York. In a city filled with plants, Seymour, covered in vines, stands above Audrey II and mountains of money, before beginning to slowly lower himself into his mouth, thinking perhaps this will allow him to continue to live on. "Now the nightmare's real/Now Audrey II is here/To make you quake with fear/To make the whole world kneel..."

Crystal, Ronnete, and Chiffon, in the background, "Everything you ever..."

"And I won't feel..."

A few of Seymour's vines fell off, revealing his face just before the jaws closed.

(very distressedly) "...a thing."
