I'm a first time author in the Camp Rock category. Two years back, I tried writing for Gilmore Girls and Hannah Montana, and I wasn't really dedicated, so I just sort of took a hiatus, and suddenly, deleted my stories, and changed my pen name, and am having a fresh start.

We're doing a poetry unit in school, and I wanted to see how I could do. I wrote this just now during a half hour break I took from working on a future one shot, and I think it's actually okay. So just tell me what you think, you can tell I purposefully rhymed, and it just kind of tells a cute story.

Disclaimer: I don't own Camp Rock, or anyone involved with it. The close I came to being near Camp Rock was me and my best friend begging our parents to let us head up to Canada and be extras. And we obviously, well, didn't. So, yes, just to say, I don't own a thing.

She showed up on her first day

To Camp Rock.

She wore her style her own way

Bright colors down to her socks.

This was an Abercrombie based camp, she saw

No one wanted a change

Tess Tyler made that basically a law

And no one but Caitlyn found that strange.

So Caitlyn Gellar was made an outcast for being who wanted

Even though she was somewhat nice

She was endlessly taunted,

As her style and demeanor would not suffice.

A month flew by

And at Camp no one talked

To the girl who lay in her cabin and cry

Who hated being mocked.

She mixed beats well

Her voice was a sweet sound

Tess Tyler gave her hell

She crushed Caitlyn to the ground.

One day, in the middle of the heat

A boy showed up ready

To start to appreciate Caitlyn's beat

And she fell for him already

They met at lunch

He complimented her converse

She never had the urge to punch

The boy who made her summer go in reverse.

Friends first, besties second

It took a week for them to go steady

It was his nerves, she reckoned,

But Caitlyn Gellar was finally ready.

She stepped out,

Into the spotlight

She couldn't have done it without,

Nate's smile so bright.

The duo tried their best

To produce a new sound

At Final Jam, they impressed,

Everyone was spellbound

They took home the gold

That wonderful night

Nate's real prize was his girl he could hold

Caitlyn's prize was his kiss, much to her delight.

Unique was a nice word

To talk about

The girl who never went with Tess's herd

And who Nate couldn't live without.

This summer had been

Superior, by far

But everything was just about to begin

As long as the two stay who they are.

Okay, so just review and tell me what you thought, I know it was kind of cheesy, but I thought it wasn't the absolute worst thing I've ever written. Please, R and R, just to give some constructive criticism.
