Sam shut his eyes tightly. He felt the wetness, the blood, Dean's blood, seeping, staining his shirt, hardly the first time.
Four… Five… Six…
This wasn't right. It wasn't supposed to take this long.
Seven… Eight… Nine…
This had become such a habit in the past… he wasn't sure how long. Sit. Count. Wait. He'd never gotten to ten before. He wasn't supposed to get to ten.
Please don't let me reach ten.
