Keen eyes surveyed the city as darkness thickened around him. Vin looked up as a giant buzzard he had noticed upon first arriving at his post took flight. His jaw slackened as the bird's wings opened to reveal the body of a man beneath their span. Vin watched as the Werecondor swooped through the night before giving himself a shake. "Well, that was a surprise!"
"What was?"
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you."
A snort answered him. "There's a lot o' things I wouldn't've believed before now, pard."
Vin just smiled. "You'd have to see it to believe it."
