A/N: I do not own Yu Yu Hakusho, but I am definatly one of a million fans
who wished they did. This is a one-shot fic, so I probably won't continue
on it. Enjoy! Oh, the ' ' indicate Kurama's thoughts. YAOI WARNING!
Fluffier than cotton candy!
buI Wish/u/b
Kurama leaned against the tree with a sigh. The dark tornament was over. Finally. And they had won. All Kurama wanted to do was rest and relax. Yusuke and Keiko had decided to hold a beach party in honor of their victory over Team Tugoro, which he was invited to of course. The whole team was invited. Now, he watched as Yusuke and Keiko held a splash war, Kuwabara flirted shamelessly with Yukina, and Shizuru and Botan held a conversation about.some girl topic he guessed. The most comical thing was probably Koenma and George both trying to get tans and failing miserably. Kurama sighed. There was only one thing missing from this beautiful utopia.
Hiei.
The icy fire demon.
He had not shown up to the party with the rest and Kurama supposed he was off doing "important" things.
'I wish.'
There were a lot of things he, Kurama, wanted in life, and one of those things was the attention of a certain fire demon.
Which was something he knew he would never get.
He was startled out of his thoughts by a familiar voice saying, "Hn. What is wrong with you, fox?"
Kurama hid a smile and replied, "Nothing, Hiei. I was thinking. that is all. You're late."
"I am not. I'm not attending the party, therefore I cannot be late to it. What were you thinking about?"
The kitsune looked up at Hiei through the red hair that had fallen across his face, "I was thinking of things that I wish would happen."
"Like what?"
"Like I wish you would sit next to me for awhile and not go bounding into the trees again."
Hiei abligingly sat next to Kurama and with him watched the gang playing in the water and on the shore. It was somewhat surprising to Kurama to see Hiei watching his sister Yukina's every move and make no comment on the fact Kuwabara had just kissed her cheek. It also surprised him that Hiei was actually sitting still for once.
"How are things in Makai?" Kurama asked, trying to get a converstion started.
"The same as they have been for everyday of my miserable existance."
Well, THAT didn't work. Kurama sat in silence for awhile attempting to think of a new topic.
'I wish.'
.when Hiei broke the silence.
"What sort of things do you wish for, fox?"
"For peace, love, happiness. the usual cliché crap. Though it's usually that I wish my friends find peace, love, and happiness. I am beyond help.
"So, what do you wish for?" Kurama asked politely. He turned to gaze at the youko next to him.
"That.you'll.accept this," Hiei turned and lifted himself a little of the ground, just high enough to place a kiss on Kurama's lips.
Kurama was absolutly shocked. Was it just his imagination, or was he actually kissing Hiei? He tucked a hand behind the smaller demon's neck and pulled him closer. After a moment or two, Hiei broke the kiss and looked up at him.
"You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that," was all Hiei could say.
Kurama smiled and slipped an arm around Hiei's waist, pulling him closer. "Do you want to know what I really wish for?"
"What's that, fox?"
"I wish you would stay here. With me."
"Hn. Now that's a wish I can grant."
