Capitol: Interview with the Head Gamemaker
Caesar Flickerman, age 45.
First Capitol rebel.
Stood upon the stage, laughing loudly into my microphone as the crowd stands, cheering loudly, I wave at the camera, greeting the many Capitol people watching. As the crowd settles, I step forward, my black leather shoes squeaking quietly across the floor.
"Ladies and gentleman, tonight we meet a very special lady. Tonight, we meet Carmerina Delouise, our new Head Gamemaker!" I shout, the crowd stomping and clapping as a woman steps onto the stage, laughing and waving to the crowd. A dress of golden silk flows around her porcelain skin, a long train gliding behind her as she walks towards me, her midnight black curls swinging, her hand held out toward me, her fingernails shining deep purple in the light. I grasp her hand tightly, and kiss her lightly on the cheek, red bursting forth from where my lips meet her skin. I gesture for her to sit down, taking a seat myself as I settle the crowd. I turn towards Carmerina, whose smile is wide, showing pearly white teeth, and her eyes flash gold.
"Carmerina. Carmerina! You must be our must stunning Head Gamemaker yet!" I announce loudly, the crowd agreeing with loud whistling and cat calling from many men. She laughs lightly, speaking as loud as possible to be heard over the ruckus.
"It must be because I'm your first female Head Gamemaker," She says, and we all erupt in laughter. I take deep breaths to steady myself as I ask the next question, clapping my hands together.
"Funny and beautiful. Surely, there is still room for genius in those curls."
"Oh, Caesar, if you are trying to get the details of the Arena, you are going to have to learn to flirt properly." She says, her voice seemingly sympathetic, although her face is all mischief. I push her shoulder playfully, chuckling as I do.
"Well, is there any dirty details you'd love to share with us, Carmerina? Surely, you'd tell us, your friends." I say, winking at her. She rolls her eyes in response, sighing.
"Whilst I shall keep the Arena mostly a surprise, I shall reveal it will be all very close to our hearts," she says, a playful smirk on her face. I nod my head, and take her hand, standing her up.
"Thank you, Miss Delouise!" I yell and laugh as the crowd cheers, loud and proud, and as I smile at Carmerina, she nods her head, a silent message I can only and will ever know.
It is time.
The tribute form is on my profile, as well as the tribute list. I would like to have all the tributes by the end of the week, as I'll be writing all the Reapings in one chapter.
