"So? What do you say?" Lavi piped up, nervous but more excited to hear the girl's answer. Allison was quite anxious herself, so very unused to being treated like this. Heck, she didn't even think Lavi would do this at all or even in private, so what more right in the middle of the cafeteria?

"Well?" He asked, chin in hand and elbow on the table. Across from her, he grinned cutely in an attempt to capture her. Allison moved her long, wavy white hair to her back and hummed, trying to focus her attention elsewhere.

"Well..." she started, suddenly finding the wooden table very interesting after the man gave her a wink, "Maybe?" She tried, shrugging.

Lavi rolled his eyes playfully. "So does that mean 'yes'?" He leaned in closer, and Allison blushed slightly. She again shifted her gaze down to the table, wishing she had some food to stuff into her mouth so she wouldn't have to answer. Because frankly, she had no idea what to say.

On one hand, Lavi was childish, impulsive, and annoying. Deep down he was a liar, she knew, but not as bad as her, and she didn't blame him for it either. When he was serious he'd fight on till the battle was won, but romantically? Romantically, she hadn't even thought of him. Or anyone else in general. Sure, he was cute with his eyepatch, even cuter with his hair down and not held up by the green headband he wore now, but every time he tried to flirt with her she passed it off as a joke.

But now she knew he was dead serious, because that smile he gave was real and genuine, not as bright as when he's teasing someone or playing pranks. It was as if there was a slight tension in him, and if she could really be so selfish to think of it, she'd think it was because he was afraid of her answer.

"Come on, Allison." He leaned in even closer, so close that their foreheads were touching. He looked into her silver eyes and whispered, "Or do you need some convincing?"

The whisper should have been nothing more than innocent, but something both dangerous and exciting seemed to underline his tone as his gaze bore into hers, green eyes sparkling with something the girl couldn't quite name.

She looked away, a bright red tint festering on her face. "N-No, I'm f-fine," she squeaked, and heard him chuckle softly. He moved back to his seat, and again he asked her, "So? What do you say?"

She took a deep breath, deciding she might as well. Who knows? Maybe she'd come to really like Lavi. Maybe she already did. Either way, she exhaled and said with newfound confidence, "Yes, I'll go out with you."

So hey! Here it is, another D. Gray-Man fanfic with Fem!Allen x Various. In this one, Allen (or Allison, rather) is actually a girl. She hasn't been hiding her gender or anything like that, it's just an AU where instead of being a boy she's a girl. Anyway, I'm sssssssuuuuuupppeeerrrr excited to see where this story leads, as I ship her and Lavi, but I also ship her with so many other guys! As for Allen, I only ship him with Lenalee (sorry! I don't have anything against gay ships or gay stuff in general, but I just don't ship it and it doesn't really excite me somehow, no offense). I seriously can't wait to see how Kanda'll react. What do you think? Angry jealous? Quiet jealous? Or even, dare I say it, not jealous at all?

Welp, whatever happens is a mystery, to both you and me! As always, hope you enjoyed!

See you in the next chap!
