Penny and I have been back together for a while. We have been a couple for months & 12 days to be exact.
I lay in bed with my arms wrapped tightly around Penny, who was fast asleep. She no longer snores like she did the first time we dated. I she looks gorgeous, despite the fact that her silky, long blonde hair was a mess.
Looking at the alarm clock that lay on Penny's night stand, I realize we only have about 15 seconds before the alarm goes off, making its screeching sound. "Buzz… buzz… buzz." right on time.
Penny slowly begins to open her eyes, excepting the fact that she has been forced to get ready for work. She looks insanely tired. I give a kiss on the top of head.
"Good morning" I say in a quiet whisper like voice.
"Good morning honey." She says with a beautiful smile. Gosh I love it when she smiles.
We kiss for about a minute before she says "You better get ready for work."
"Ugh" I whine not wanting the moment to stop.
Penny replies "Come on honey. I'll see you tonight, after I get off. We'll have a nice dinner. Plus it is Friday, so we can sleep in tomorrow.
I take that as an invitation to stay again tonight. I hurry along to work. …..
I had been home from work for about three hours. I knew Penny would be home any second now. I quickly run out of my bedroom, already dressed for my date, needing to tell Sheldon something.
"Sheldon, I don't think I can go on my date with Penny & I need you to pretend to care." I say.
"Okay Leonard," he says in a voice making the "PRETEND" part obvious, "Why can't you go out with your girlfriend?"
"Because I think I love her."
"And…?" Sheldon says questioning me.
"And the last time I said that she broke up with me." ...….
As I expected Sheldon had absolutely no useful advice for me & I'm now standing outside of Penny's doorway having already knocked.
"Hey!" she saying as she opens the door looking stunning. We kiss passionately at her door for a moment.
After she pulls away I quickly say …. "I love you penny." After I said that she quickly spun around grabbing her coat, pretending not to have heard what I just said. I look down feeling disappointed in the mistake I had once again made in my relationship with Penny.
"Hey Leonard?" Penny asks.
"Yeah!" I reply, looking up, pretending not to be upset.
Penny then speaks so quick that I almost miss when she says "I love you too!
"Oh my God, that's great!" I exclaim. We kiss passionately, however this time much longer than we had the time before. We walk downstairs to the car, saying we "I love you" to each other the whole way.
