The blue-eyed magician looked absolutely ecstatic when Artemis came up to her, that fine afternoon in the cave. Needless to say, the girl was more than happy to oblige. Grabbing the blonde's wrist, Zatanna all but dragged the poor girl to her room.

Zatanna went straight to her closet as Artemis sat on the bed, unsure of what do to. Zatanna turned to the blonde, a long black dress already in hand.

"I've got good news and bad news," she walked up to Artemis and gave her the dress, "The bad news is, I only have a couple of formal dresses and they're all in black. Not really your colour."

"But," the magician stepped back and lifted her hands over the dress, "Egnahc eth roloc ot neerg!"

Artemis watched, slightly amzed, as the dress slowly but surely turned into a beautiful combination of emerald and forest green colors, with golden linings. It looked like it came out of a forest nymph's closet, honestly, but it was absolutely gorgeous.

Zatanna laughed, evidently very proud of her work, and winked, "Good news is, I'm a magician. Now go put it on!"

'Wow.'

Artemis twirled in front of the full-length mirror in her mother's room, dressed in the amazing dress Zatanna had kindly lent her. It really was breathtaking gown. It was off-shoulder; the long sleeves a dark shade of forest green attached at the underarms, and had ruffles on her wrists. The torso part was a lighter shade of green that ended at her hip, with small curved flaps lined in gold to distinguish it from the rest of the gown. Finally, the rest of the dress flowed fluidly up to her heeled ankles, a shade similar to the sleeves. Her long blonde locks were tamed into a simple braid over her bare right shoulder. She wore a golden pair of short, open-toed heels that once belonged to her sister.

Simply put, Artemis looked as stunning as the goddess she was named after.

She looked at her mother lingering by the door, her hand covering her mouth and in complete awe of her daughter's transformation. She only beamed at her pleased reaction and hugged her.

"Artemis, you look beautiful," Paula Crock pulled away from her daughter's arms and tucked a stray lock of her behind the archer's ears, "Now, there's a nice young gentleman outside to meet you and you shouldn't keep him waiting."

"Wow. Art you look—wow."

Artemis couldn't help but chuckle. She walked in careful steps in the heels, "Is that all you can say, Mr Grayson?"

Dick, still a bit dumbfounded, stood up from the couch and held up his hand, "Sorry. My mind blanked out for a while because of your beauty."

For once, Artemis was thankful for the slight make up- lessons courtesy of M'gann and Zatanna- that made her blush slightly less obvious. Slightly.

She placed her hand on top of his and smiled, "Well, you're not so bad-looking yourself."

Dick smirked, "Don't I always? Now, c'mon. The charity ball awaits."

A/N: (oops I fic'd)Done for the 30 Day Drabble Challenge; Day 7. I saw the prompt and it screamed charity balls with Richard Grayson. Or something like that. Also, plotless lol. Just a poor excuse to try describing Artemis in this dress because she looks like a goddess. Also, pretty sure this was going somewhere before I realised it's half an hour to midnight and I needed it up before then. Oh well.
