And so Naruto had never really understood the term; that much was true.
But in the back of his mind, where the thought was screaming, straddling a fence is painful, somewhere it clicks. He shifts, making an adjustment, teetering, reaching out to grab a fistful of navy blue tee-shirt. He wouldn't allow himself to face plant, one way or another.
Finally he releases, and slides down till the fence is at his back, and even though his shirt is hitching above his waist, he doesn't care enough to notice.
Alabaster hands are everywhere on his shoulders, supporting this decision. He presses himself into the picket railing behind him, and pulls the other boy with him.
Maybe he doesn't know why, but here he is, sharing kisses with Uchiha Sasuke, and in the distant future, there will be a white picket fence, even if he has to fight for it.
One of Sasuke's hands tugs the hem of his shirt back down, but not without hesitating with his fingers on Naruto's skin.
And he has definitely fallen, one way or another.
