Vega always liked to swim. It felt great being in the water. He always went out to a beach with Sarah whenever he had the chance. When he heard that his Zoid was being found near a beach he jumped into the chance of being at the beach. He honestly didn't know why he liked the water. Maybe because it reminded him of his parents. From what Sarah told him, his parents always liked to bring him to the beach whenever they got the chance. Whatever the reason he liked to swim.
"Alright Vega, you can play here for an hour. Then we have to go back." Said Sarah, after parking the car.
"Thanks Sarah!" Said Vega before getting out of the car and running to the beach.
Sarah smiled at the boy's enthusiasm. It reminded her so much of his father. When he and his wife died by some backdraft members that were jealous of them she was devastated. So, she adopted their son out of respect for her brother's request of her taking care of his son when he and his wife pass away unexpectedly despite her no wanting children. Needless to say it was a great decision on her part. Vega was the only one that can bring a smile on her face and also remind her of her brother. She couldn't help but feel some worry for the boy though. He wanted to be a Zoid pilot like his father but wanted to do it now. His skill with a Zoid surpassed any pilot the backdraft already had. To the point that the committee of seven immediately had him assigned a Zoid and fight in their sanctioned matches. She hated that despite her power and influence in the organization she had no power to prevent this. She is confident on Vega's skills but she still hates it. She wondered what her brother would think about her now.
After sometime of swimming, Vega was out on a cliff after drying up and putting on his clothes. He was hopping that his Zoid was out there in this ocean. They already told him that they found his Zoid, only to come up empty again and again. But this time, he felt that this time is different. That his Zoid was out there, waiting to for him to pilot him. He was so excited. He always wanted to be a Zoid pilot like his father. He hoped to one day surpass his father and become the strongest Zoid pilot in the world. He was looking at the horizon when someone came up to him.
"Hi. You live around here." Said someone.
Vega turned around to see a blond haired man with green eyes in red trunks come up to him.
"Who, me? No, I don't actually live here." Said Vega.
"Then, what are you doing here?' Said the man.
"I was told that something was being prepared for me here. So, I decided to come here to see it while taking a swim." Said Vega.
It was then that Sarah callout out to him that it was time to leave.
"Got to go. See ya." Said Vega, before running to the car.
After getting in Sarah started the car and drove back to base.
"What did I say about taking to strangers, Vega?" Asked Sarah.
"Sorry. He came up to me and started the conversation." Said Vega.
"It's alright. Just don't do it again." Said Sarah.
"Okay." Said Vega, looking back at the ocean.
It was then that he began to remember a scene when he was with his mother and father. They were playing in the beach, having a good time. He smiled before closing his eyes and thought about his Zoid. Meanwhile in the bottom of the ocean two red eyes glowed in the confined space of a box. It sensed it's next pilot.
There you go. Yeah I made Sarah the sister of Vega's father. To me it make's sense because she's always nice to him yet cold to others.
