Tremors 5: Annihilation

Tagline: Evolution always encounters Opposition

More than six years after Burt's fourth run-in with the newly discovered species, he decides to set up a new home in Bixby, the town repeatedly referred to for help in the first Tremors movie.

Burt's house includes everything: guns, bazookas, machine guns, grenades, land mines, a concrete barrier around his home's perimeter, etc…

But Bixby isn't solely dependent on the well known icon. Within the town's perimeter is an outpost with army recruits and wanna-be Rambos, trained to hunt Graboids and Shriekers and Ass-Blasters that pose a threat, but also to research and study the illusive and unprecedented creatures. Outside the town is a concrete wall, much like Burt's home.

But shit hits the fan… big time!!

On a routine scouting expedition to track the eating habits of the town-favorite "El Blanco", several army rangers are attacked, mauled and eaten alive by Graboids and Shriekers. A radio tower is taken out, car engines are dismantled and more unlikely things happen. The creatures have become smart but only by waiting, hoping that one day the people within Bixby would let their guard down.

A scan of the area reveals an "army" of all three types of creatures heading for Bixby. The women and children are evacuated to higher, rockier and more protected ground as the men desperately fend off the town with every means at disposal.

Burt dies in a climactic duel with the creatures, as he uses his pistols and knives while being torn apart in a vicious death scene. It really kicks ass!

Explosions occur as Ass-Blasters ignite a gas station, dozens of bodies litter the streets of Bixby and the army tells those in the town to fight until support comes from a nearby base. Containment is the option, and the army is not about to bomb the city, as there is military use for the Graboids. (They could be used to sneak behind enemy lines and kill foes.)

In the end, the town wins but with only a few making a stand at a semi-hotel building, with a collapsed roof, exploded cars, etc. (Everything needed for the perfect battle scene.)
