Author's Note: I'm still alive! I know I haven't posted anything in a while but I haven't seemed to be able to come up with anything to post yet. That, or I'm having trouble figuring out summaries and titles for what I have written. Then I went though a period of writers block... yuck. Anyway I wrote this a while ago but I found it recently and decided to type it up. It's just a short little one-shot. Enjoy!

Their eyes met. Unblinking, they stared at each other. Brown into gold. Gold into brown. The faces that those eyes belonged to were unnaturally close. They seemed lost in each other's gazes. Breath mingled.
Each tried to look harder more intense. It was like they were searching each other's souls; x-raying into each other's thoughts. Battling each other in a battle of wills.
It seemed they could go on forever.
Perhaps they were lovers meeting after a long time apart. They rarity of their meetings encouraging them to spend as much time as they could memorizing each other's features.
Perhaps they had just married and were enjoying each other's closeness. After so long of wishing their dream had come true and they could spend forever in each other's eyes.
Perhaps they were locked in an embarrassed state. An accident bringing them close but neither willing to break contact.
Or, perhaps the secret of their caring had just been exposed and love was blossoming. Maybe closeness and the locking of eyes was a sign that a ki-
"Ha! I win! You blinked!"
"Hey, no fair! It wasn't intentional! I demand a rematch!"
"You're on!"
...Or perhaps they were having a staring contest.
