Lily's Baby-

"Once upon a time there lived this beautiful princess named Tiara. She had long flowing blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. Everyone in her kingdom wanted to be her. Tiara always had clean clothes made out of the finest silk and every toy she ever wanted and more.

"But poor Tiara was always sad. Always lonely. She longed for a friend to talk to or better yet a lover of a far off kingdom. Some handsome prince to rescue her from a dragon, a witch or a sea serpent. But she knew if she waited her prince would come.

"On her sixteenth birthday her father gave her a gift. A gift so wondress that Tiara could not speak. Princess Tiara had gotten a servant. A man servant. But to Tiara he was more than that. When she looked in his eyes she saw the universe. She saw love and the rest of her life in those hazel orbs." Lily Potter finished her bedtime story for her daughter Laura. "Goodnight Laura sweetie. Sweet dreams."

"'Night mommy" Laura responded. Quietly lily closed the door and walked down the hall and down the stairs into the living room. On the couch was her love, James Potter.

"Rough day?" he asked.

"You have no idea. I took Laura to the Saint Mungo's again. The healer says there still searching for a cure."

"Don't worry they'll find one. They have to."

Tears of sadness raced down here face. Her heart felt as if it was broken and stomped on till it was just pieces of waste. Parts that don't belong. Lily had lost the will to live. She lost her baby. Her first child. Her only child. Her only little girl.

Dressed in black at least 50 people were at the funeral. Lily couldn't bare it anymore. She turned to put her face in James chest. Her daughter was gone. She hated how everyone came up to them to saw sorry, she hated how everyone was dressed in black for her daughter's funeral. But most of all she hated her daughter being in that cold wooden box waiting to be put in the ground.

Lily wanted to escape. Away from the blackness away from the box. Away from the dead 4 year old girl she loved oh so much. She needed to be away from it all.

But she stayed. She had to stay, for if her baby was beside her in another form trying to reach her mother as lily was for her. She would stay for the whole thing no matter how hard it was. She was going to stay.

The healer that tried to help Laura came up to them.

"I'm so sorry Mrs. Potter. I had grown close to your daughter to. She amazed me at how she could stay happy even if it was the worst of times. But you have to remember, leukemia is a horrible thing but because of your daughter we might have a cure. All because of her we might have a cure." There he gave her a smart little bow and walked away.

"J-James." Her voice quivered. "I have to quit…quit my job."

"What? Lily that's not what Laura would have wanted. She would not want you to swallow all this sadness and become a hermit. She wouldev wanted you to live."

"No James. I have to quit it because…because I'm gonna try to find a cure…no. I have to find a cure. i'm going to find a cure for leukemia. I have to make sure no other mothers lose there babies. I have to."

"Of course lily, of course."

2 years later lily had found a cure. She dedicated it to all the mothers and fathers who had lost there sons and daughters, but most of all, her little Laura.

I tried to think of how I would have felt but it was kind of hard. I tried to put in how I felt when I lost my puppies- one was 17 (human years) and one was fifteen… the 17 year old had a problem with his liver and the 15 year old had a problem with his lungs…so they died of old age…why am I telling you this? Ahh well- hope you like it!
