Sara Sidle walked through the halls of the Las Vegas Crime Lab with a strange almost undetectable little grin on her face. It was about 15 minutes before shift was to start and she was making her way to the break room for a cup of coffee. On her way there she began to hear the voices coming from the break room and the closer she got the better she could make them out. Having identified the voices coming from within she could now start to make out the conversation at hand.
"You didn't!?" a surprised Warrick asked laughter present in his voice.
"I'm tellin' ya man, I haven't been in a food fight that big since my freshman year in college." Nick replied.
"And I bet you started that one too." Came Warrick's retort.
It was then that Sara rounded the corner and entered the break room and decided to join in on the conversation. "Very mature Nicky," she said and smiled at him before making her way to the coffee pot.
"Oh," Nick started with a raised eyebrow, "and what sophisticated thing did you do this weekend Miss Sidle?" he asked trying to be cute.
Now standing at the counter stirring her coffee Sara put the spoon in the sink before turning to face her friend with a reply. "Oh nothing much really." Her voice was calm and monotone. "Just the same ol' stuff. Did some housework; laundry; got married; walked the dog; you know the usual." And with that Sara walked out of the room and down the hall without missing a beat, leaving Nick and Warrick nodding for a few seconds before the finally comprehended what she'd said.
The boys stood there staring at the door their colleague had just left through, their mouths wide open both of them speechless. They stood this way for several seconds before Nick finally broke the silence; "Did she just say….?"
"Nah" Warrick dismissed the thought. "I mean she wouldn't just…" he turned to look at Nick.
"SARA!?" both men called in unison and raced out the door after their friend.
