Description: **Carby** Lol, I dunno, thought of the idea in the car...wierd...title should say something to you:)

"It's a girl," the doctor said holding up her baby. She looked in amazement. It was a girl. She got what she wanted, although a boy would be quite fine. She finally noticed she hadn't said anything yet. She couldn't. She was speechless. She had a baby and it was her own. The baby gave out a cry.
"Would you like to cut the cord?" The doctor asked Carter. Apparently Carter went speechless too because it took him a while to answer.
"Yeah, yeah, sure, yeah," he replied gazing upon his daughter. Even though he delivered some babies, he still looked like he paid close attention to the directions.
"Between the two clamps," the doctor said smiling at Carter. He took the scissors and cut the cord. Abby put her arms around her baby.
"She's beautiful," she finally said looking down at her baby. She was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. She looked up at Carter and locked him with a kiss. The nurse took the baby and took it's weight and did tests.
"6 pounds and 10 ounces and about 19 inches," she said. "Does she have a name?"
"No, not yet," Carter said. The nurse wrapped the baby in the blanket and brought it back to Abby.
"Well, we can't name him after you can we?" Abby said. She kissed her baby on the forehead and gazed at her. She had her dad's eyes and her nose. She had some cute brown curls. She had stopped crying and looked back at her mother. Abby unraveled some of the blanket and look at her baby's hands. It was so tiny. She was going to one way or another get rid of her nails.
"You did a good job," Carter said wrapping his arm around Abby.
"We need a name," she replied not taking her eyes of her baby.
"She's definitely not a Melinda Mae," Carter said. It was Abby's number one girl name. Carter never really liked it, but trying to argue with a pregnant wife was not the best idea so he left it alone.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. Too bad though. I really like it," she replied. She looked as if she was thinking really hard.
"We could name it after her mother," Carter said touching his baby on the cheeks then looked at Abby.
"I don't think so," she replied firmly. "So, what was next on our list?"
"We didn't have one."
"Oh."
"Lana Marie Carter," Abby said after a long pause. Her face lit up. All of a sudden her daughter gave a little cry and her face started to shine like she had heard something beautiful. Something wonderful. Like her little world, her little life was just about to start.
"I guess she likes it as well," Carter said with a little laugh. "Hello Miss Lana Marie," Carter said taking his daughter into his arms. He rocked her back and forth and gave her back to Abby. She looked at her again then wrapped her arm around Carter.
"I've got my whole world right here in my hands."

The End
