"Oh, where'd it go? Nami's not gonna be happy when she finds out."
"About what?"
Usopp mumped, dropping his flashilight in the process. "Chopper, don't do that!"
"I'm sorry." The reindeer looked down at his hooves sadly. Usopp sighed, kicking himself for shouting at the shy doctor.
At least he didn't get angry at me.
Shaking the thought away, Usopp picked up his flashilight and resumed his search. "I lost the ring Nami gave me for my birthday. I have to find it so she doesn't think I didn't like it and get mad at me again." The sharpshooter shuddered. How do I always get myself into these messes?
"This ring?"
Usoppp stared at Chopper, amazed. He'd been down here looking for a good hour, yet their newest addition had found it in less that five minutes! "How'd you do that?"
"I stepped on it." The doctor winced. "Most people forget how sensitive hooves can be."
"Sorry, but I'm glad you found it." Usopp took the ring and slipped it back on. "This baby's not coming off for a while!" Chopper laughed. "Come on, let's get to bed."
"I have next watch," Chopper replied sadly. He rubbed at his eyes tiredly.
"Just go to bed. I'm sure that katana-wielding psycho won't mind. He sleeps most of the day anyways." Chopper laughed, quieter this time, mind already surrendering to the pull of sleep.
Quietly, Usopp turned off and pocketed his flashlight. Then he picked up their doctor and slipped out of the hold, heading for the boys' bedroom.

Unbeknownst to the artist, said katana-wielding psycho had stationed himself outside the door to the hold and had, in fact, been looking forward to sleep. Still, he supposed he'd live.
"I'm get soft," mumbled Zoro, sighing absently.
"Makes you a better pillow."
Zoro glanced down at the sleeping individual. The captain shifted, burying his nose against his first mate's chest to hide from the wind. Maybe another watch wouldn't hurt…
