LETTING GO

Luna watched sadly as Hermione walked down the aisle to an expectant Ron. She admired him silently. He looks great, she thought to herself. She sadly reminisced on their time at Hogwarts.

She had watched him at a distance, long before they knew she existed. She had always admired him.

She did not laugh at his dress robes for the Yule Ball. She had done many things that everyone else didn't. She took everyone else's side in her third year about whether Harry had put his name in the Goblet of Fire, purely because that was Ron's side. She took Harry's side in the same thing later because it was Ron's side. She joined the DA because Ron was there.

In her fifth year, she had comforted Hermione when she was fighting with Ron. She had said things about Ron that she didn't believe, because she hoped it would make them grow apart.

Her plan had backfired. She had watched them grow closer in her fifth year and after the final battle.

She had watched him.

She had wanted him.

She had loved him.

And now he was gone.

A week later, Luna Lovegood was found dead in her house.

A/N: That was a short, pointless story that came to me while I was supposed to be cleaning my room. I jotted it down and typed it up later that day. Review please!
