"There's a new girl out here to see you Mrs Fisher" The receptionist said.

"Thanks Janeece, you can send her in." came the voice of Mrs Fisher.

"Of course" said Janeece. I stood up as Janeece came back into the room.

"You can go through." She said stacking some papers as I walked past her.

"Thanks" I said and went through the door marked: Mrs Fisher, Headteacher.

********************************************************************************** "Lizzy, I see you made your way here alright." She stopped waiting for an answer I wouldn't give. "Didn't get lost then" she chuckled to herself. She studied me hard with her eyes before suddenly siging and saying " Heres your timetable, Maths first with Mr Chalk. Downstairs bon your left 3rd classroom down."

"Thanks Miss." I said making my way out and down the stairs. I liked the uniform here. Similar to my old school. White shirts, Black skirts, maroon jumpers and yellow and maroon ties. I'm Hopeless at my tie. I've never had to do up a tie once before. Dad did mine this morning. I hope I don't have P.E.

I walked into the classroom Mrs Fisher told me marked: Mr Chalk, Maths.

"Sir, I was told I was in your class." I said handing him my timetable.

"So you are" he smiled. "Middle row two desks from the back is Denzil, you can go and sit next to him." I walked over to the seat and sat down.

"Hi, I'm Denzil Kelly." He said

"Lizzy MacBeth." I said a little awkwardly.

"Hate maths." Denzil said.

"Why?" I said.

"Because I'm Dyslexic" he said.

"Oh, do the teachers know?" I asked not wanting to pry but interested about this boy who was so open to me.

"Yeah, there's this teacher, Miss Shackleton, who helps us."

"Us?"

"Mainly she helps this girl Karla she has… errmm… something beginning with A."

"Excuse me." We looked up and Mr Chalk was towering over us.
