Prologue One ~ Fateful Meeting That Was Meant To Be

In the Kingdom of Lucis, it always seems to be full of joy and many emotions. Of course, it doesn't mean that the fact that Lucis is on war to the Niflheim Empire. But today wasn't like any other day. Today was the day for the royal ball in Luci's palace, for congratulated the Crown prince Noctis and Princess Lunafreya engagement, which was like a blessing for the whole Kingdom to see their prince.

Almost everyone was invited to the ball, including the great Songstress summoner herself, Yuna. "Come on everyone! We can't be late for the royal ball!" Rikku called out, waiting for her friends to come out of the house. "Psh, so not cool Rikku! Don't you see we're trying here?!" Paine growled in frustration. "Hump! If you guys were here on time early, we've been already there!" Rikku slowly turns to Yuna. "Right Yuna?"

"Peace Rikku, Paine. There is no need to fight. We shouldn't waste any time right now, Tidus and Wakka are already there." Yuna gently spoke with a soft voice, as she started walking straight to the car. "*Sighs* Yuna's right, we should get going." Paine agreed in Yuna's decision as she opens the car's door and sat down at the driver's seat. "Okay, gals! Off to the palace!"

Throughout many things, regardless of the future's warnings, it doesn't seem to scare Yuna right now. But in her heart, what could be awaiting inside the Lucii Palace? The feeling can only be started to grow out within her. But think again, many of handsome, yet full of lust males will be swarming over her as they ALL know, that she is the grand Summoner of Lucis.

All the cars, mostly mainly in the color of black, were parked at the center of the royal water fountain. It was a beautiful sight to see for Yuna, Paine, and Rikku to see. In truth, Yuna had only been in the palace once or twice on her whole life. Which that wasn't really bad. As they got out of the black car, they walked inside the palace as they saw Tidus and Wakka await for them near the entrance.

"What takes you gals SO long?" Wakka asked them, having an un-patience meter going up. "Forgive us, Wakka. But as you know most girls, we take a darn long time!" Paine scolded, taking him to the ear as everyone walk inside the lovely palace. Continue walking in, Yuna could notice that any of the male guests, that was filled with lust everywhere, were TOO busy to flirt with Rikku and Paine. Well, the 'full of lust' males were trying to talk to her, but thanks to Tidus's protection, she's perfectly fine.

But no matter of seeing everything in front of her, Yuna felt guilty for having the protection, as if she was royalty. Of course, everywhere she goes, including her own high school years, she was always be protected by someone because they ALL know that she is the grand Summoner and Songstress to the whole kingdom. Yuna didn't really care for her title, all she really care was to protect those who are very close to her. Even the whole kingdom as well.

She remembers that someone, who wasn't a conversationalist type during in middle school, who became her friend, who was the only one who understands the situation that she was in. Trying to ignore all the lust of flirts, Yuna started to use a warping technique, teleporting away and found herself seeing a silver-ish metal door that stood before her. With a sigh escape from her mouth, she opened the silver-ish metal doors as a gush of wind chilled her pale white skin.

The darkest of the night had greeted her as a calm and cooled welcome. The stars sparkled far away as they twinkled like crystals. And the silence all around her seems to take her mind away. Yuna walked closer to the balcony as she took her feet off from her royal blue high heels. It felt amazing without the high heels that Rikku brought for her. A bright and loving smile had placed on her face as if nobody can't stop her for being free.

"How did you get up here miss?" A mature male voice questions her. As Yuna turned around, she saw a male that looked to be her age, who had beautiful blue eyes with spiky black hair-which reminds her of a certain male that have that color shade. Yuna could hear the male's black boots echoed, hesitantly walking forward before pausing. Looking at him more closely, Yuna eyes widen a bit. The male that stood before her was the Crown prince, Noctis Lucis Caelum.

"O-oh... I just use a little magic you can say... Your Highness." Yuna answered the Crown prince, before looking back at the night, starry skies. The Crown prince blue eyes widen a bit before going back to its an original state. "So you know who I am... But I don't know you miss."

Yuna looked at him behind her shoulders. "...I'm Yuna... Yuna Hikari Haru." Noctis blue eyes widen when he heard her name. "You're the great Songstress Summoner that my friend keeps telling me about..."

"Friend?" Yuna questioned, showing a curious expression to the Crown prince. "Er-its nothing you need to know... Songstress." Noctis scratches the back of his head, giving her a smile. Yuna smiled at him, turning her body once more to look at his in the eyes. "Please, just call me Yuna."

"Heh, if you're going that way, then please Yuna, call me Noctis. We don't need to be formal." Noctis said as a smile was placed on Yuna's face. "I see... You're just like me, don't even like using formal titles that were given to us." With a pause, both Yuna and Noctis break into laughter. "Touché for a girl who understands my feelings with titles."

"Haha, we both feel and learned from experiments after all." Yuna grinned at the night-looking prince. "Heh, true," He smirked at the brunette haired female. "But to me, it seems this is your first time going into a ball." Yuna looked at him with shock. "H-how? How did you know?"

"Just a guess," He hummed in tune. "And plus, you're not wearing your high heels." Yuna lightly laughs when he mentions her not wearing her heels. "When you wear high heels for the first time." Yuna could see a smile was placed on the Crown prince face. Out of all man, it could be, it was the Crown prince who had to be the first who understand what it's like to have a title that you don't want. She could tell that he had been in the same experiments as her.

At last, the fateful meeting moment didn't last long. A new voice had broken the silence between them. "Prince Noctis, Luna request for your presence in the dining room, including your father." Yuna saw the owner of the voice. She spotted a bespectacled male with piercing emerald eyes, glaring at her as his arms were crossed. With a sigh escape from his royal highness mouth, he agreed. "Alright, Ignis." As Noctis step back from the balcony railing sides, he gave Yuna a small smile as he waves back towards her as she did the same thing, before accompanying his comrade along as they went in the lit and dark corridors of the palace.

After they left, a frown had covered her smile. 'After everything just happen... I was finally able to talk with the Crown prince for the first time... What could the gods had set up for me...?' Yuna thought, only thinking about seeing the same old scene that was played over and over again in her own mind.

With another sigh escaped from her mouth, Yuna put back on her royal blue high heels as she walks back inside in the palace. A hummed in tune of her voice, Yuna was in search of her friends everywhere in that ball corridors. Her song can be heard from everyone ears.

'On an ocean of stars, lo, an angle they see... Untouched by the war, that we waged...' She pauses, before continuing her song. 'Lain low by their scars, the people wounded but free... Seek what lies beyond, this dark age...'

Suddenly, a male in front of her felt so familiar to her, as if she had seen a ghost. The male's eyes widen when he turned around. "Yuna? Is that you...?" He walked closer to her, only to see her beautiful sea dark blue and emerald green eyes. "Oh my god! It is you!" He hugged her tightly. "I-it's good to see you too... Prompto... But you're kinda c-chocking me..."

Then he lets her go from his iron hug. "S-sorry! It just... It has just been a long time since I last saw you!" Then he looked at her form. "It's been a long time since we last hang out! So how are you been?" Yuna has given her old friend a small smile. "I've been fine. Just being a Songstress that been singing all around while sending souls to the Farplains."

"That sounds lots of work for a girl like you who is very famous for protecting a whole kingdom!" Prompto exclaimed, taking her hand as they went to the ballroom that was filled with many, many guests. "You know, you haven't changed one bit, Yuna. You're still the same girl I know ever since middle school."

"Haha... I guess? But how so?" Yuna asked as well lightly laughs, making Prompto blush a bit. "W-well... Let's see... You still have your matureness with you, You also still have the same, beautiful grace, even your adventure type. And of course, you acted like a worried mother at a time to time." Yuna chuckled when her old friend mentions her like a worried mother. "I suppose you're not wrong about the worried mother part."

"Hey! Could I get a picture of you? Since we might not see each other again…" Prompto trailed off his words. Yuna could understand how he feels. It's been a very long time since they last saw each other, and standing here right now, it felt like a ghost of memories. "Of course you can… Prompto."

A smile has appeared on his face as he has gotten his camera out. And with a sweet and gentle smile, Yuna brightly smiled at the camera. The sound of the photo was heard. "Perfect! Now I can show Noct and the rest of the guys about my old best friend from middle school!" He exclaimed, making Yuna raised her brow a bit. "Noct? You mean Crown prince Noctis?"

Prompto smiled at her. "Yeah! It's Noctis alright-" Then Prompto realizes what she said. "Wait, did you meet Noctis already?" With a small smile formed on her mouth, Prompto could tell that was a yes. "When did you meet him?"

"Um… You can say 35 minutes ago…"

Prompto's mouth was wide open when he heard that answer. "35 MINUTES AGO!" What could the Etro, the goddess had set up for Yuna herself? Hearing Prom's shocking voice did not help her any better. "Man Yunie! You know, me and Noct became best friends ever since high school when you left!"

"R-really?"

"Yeah!"

The two old friends were finally together again. As if the goddess, Etro, have brought them together again by fate. But the goddess herself had also some future plans for the grand Summoner Yuna. As Prompto and Yuna continue walking around the palace halls, suddenly, a gunshot ring across the whole palace.

The whole palace had turned into an utter of chaos, making Niflheim Empire ready to set.

A/n ~ This is an only A/N I'll ever do. As many can already guess, this is a Crossover between FFX and FFXV. I know some people won't approve the ship, but hey! It's my story and I'm going to write it!
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the story as much I write it.
