Author notation – This is again an older story which was found and corrected. Please do not ask me to post names of past stories if I can remember how they went or if I have help to find them. I shall do it but if I am continuously pestered, I won't do it. Please respect what I am asking because it's just common curiosity to do that.

Airachnid is not evil in this story, this is a completely AU story.

Summary – Optimus Prime and his mate Airachnid seem very happy, but when Megatron tricks her into being with him she leaves the Prime. And, in doing so breaks Optimus' spark and the events that follow could shatter the Autobots forever, because of a jealous Arcee.

Chapter 1

It was early in the morning when Optimus onlined his optics to find his mate curled up against him several of her legs gentle wrapped around him. This brought a smirk to his faceplates, while his azure optics took in her recharging quietly beside him. However, his mate was not as fully in recharge as thought, especially when she pinned him to their berth.

"Got you, you must yield now." She remarked with a smile.

"Hmm, I think not," he mused as he turned the tables on her.

She huffed then.

"I allowed you to best me, so there." She teased.

"Really, I hardly think so." He replied with another smile kickstarting her spark even more.

Primes aren't usually emotional, and there was once a time when Optimus was unemotional needing to be unemotional for his people.

However, all that changed when he started being with Airachnid, and now they were mates. Optimus was truly happy now, and as far as he was concerned nothing could ever change that ever.

Nothing…...

Several days later, Megatron had found Airachnid and walked up to her thinking himself all high and mighty at the time.

"Airachnid, how are you?" Megatron asked as she sneered at him.

"Back off, Megatron." She snapped.

"Come now, Airachnid, I am simply coming to talk with you. I believe we should try becoming an item, don't you?" he offered as she merely sneered even more at him.

"I'm with Optimus, Megatron, which is something you already knew of." She growled getting ready to fight him.

Megatron laughed then.

"Yes, but Optimus is not me and we all know he never will be. It should be me you are with not him." Megatron insisted. "I can give you everything he can't, Airachnid just think of it." Megatron replied simply.

Airachnid sneered.

"I have thought about it and the answer is no!" she shouted with a furious snarl as she lunged at him.

Megatron laughed once more.

"I had figured you might say that so, I had decided to have my own back up plan to change your mind." He remarked as she realized she was in trouble way too late.

Megatron motioned to someone, and Airachnid saw Shockwave walk up. Airachnid suddenly fought against Megatron using her webs, until Shockwave hit her with a beam to render her unable to fight them. Megatron smirked then, as he placed something inside of her to make her do as he commanded her to do.

"Now, you will tell Optimus, you are coming with me and you are done with him." Megatron ordered as she nodded.

Within an hour, she got to the Autobot base, and left a message for the Autobot commander. Optimus found the note, and when he did his spark sank completely why would his Airachnid leave him she had said that she loved him?

Optimus,

I am done with you, Megatron is more mech than you'll ever be. I should have seen that from the beginning I wasted too many vorns on you but now I won't be doing that anymore.

Airachnid

Optimus frowned, as he reread the note. He felt energon tears roll down his face, he loved her and now he lost everything to Megatron once again.

Optimus sat down his spark raced and pulsed like crazy. He didn't understand why she would tell him she loved him, and that he was her whole world. Then turn around and break his spark by being with his arch enemy, it was so unlike her completely unlike her!
