Lilith sighed. She couldn't believe her marriage to Frasier was over and she had to let go. He was moving back to Seattle.
"You know Lilith I still love you," Frasier said, "But we just can't work out our differences. I just think we would be happier being friends. I have to move anyway. My mother is sick"
Lilith nodded.
"I suppose that is best Frasier," she admitted.
"What about Freddie though," Frasier asked.
Lilith knew that Frasier had every right to their son. She was the one that had cheated on him.
"Frasier," Lilith said, "I know you have the right to have him but consider this. Frederick is in kindergarten. He has friends here. Is it really fair to pull him away from his life here?"
"I should say not," Frasier said, "His well-being is more important than anything else. With that said I think the best course of action is to leave him with you."
"Very wise choice," Lilith said.
"I still insist on seeing him on the holidays," Frasier said, "Every one of them."
He felt that was a fair compromise.
"I concur," Lilith said
Frasier packed his things and said goodbye to Lilith then went in and said goodbye to Freddie.
"When are you gonna be back daddy," Freddie asked.
"Honey," Frasier said, "I'm not coming back. Mommy and daddy had some problems and we couldn't work them out. We love you more than ice cream sandwiches but since we want what's best for you we decided you're better off with us apart. But I'll see you every holiday."
"Really? Even Passover?"
"Even then," Frasier said, "and we'll be doing something really special. I love you buddy"
Frasier left with a heavey heart but he felt better knowing that he did what was right by his son.
