Changeling
'Beautiful bundle' she thought.
If time weren't cruel, she would have wanted A child.
In another life, she could see her as her own daughter.
Yet, she had her priorities sorted, she always has now.
And she can't go back.
She looks around her kingdom, the twigs now fully grown branches, seedlings fully grown trees, blossoms waking up , opening to the gentle breeze.
The girl has grown up gracefully too.
She has grown up as well, only less graceful.
She has woke up as well only to a gruesome hurricane, tossing her upside down, folding and twisting her inside out.
She has changed.
It scares her, profusely, that she genuinely likes the girl.
The youthful courage and clarity.
It frightens her that she could still feel, it is eerie how feeling has crept up on her, she was better off senseless, apathetic.
She has almost forgotten how is it like to feel.
And feeling scares her to death.
She misses her wings.
She has forgotten how to fly.
And she is afraid as far as be, if she ever got her wings back, she won't be able to soar high as she used to again.
