Highway to Shadow Realm
Authors note: I haven't watched Yugioh in years I remember very little but don't care enough to rewatch it for the sake of this fic. Also I'm using the Dub names because reasons.
"Where the hell are we?" Dean sputtered as he and Sam walked through a crowded street. Just a moment before they had been driving in the Impala through a dense forest, now they were in a colorfully lit city. This of course is leaving out the part in between where they drove into a parking lot, got out of the impala, went inside a building, went inside a plane from that building, took a flight to Japan, got off the plane, walked out of the airport and into the densely populated city. So it wasn't that Dean didn't know where they were, it was quite obvious they were in Japan because everything thing was written in Not-American, but rather he didn't know their precise location or how to get to their next destination. "Look, Bobby told us we need to get to the Domino City Museum and figure out what exactly that thing Maximillion Pegasus has, and what he wants to do with it".
"I know that Sammy, I just have no idea how to get there since everything is written in Chinese", Dean muttered.
"It's not Chinese, it's Japanese, we're in Japan. Remember?" Sam said with a sigh.
"Whatever, I just wonder if there's anywhere to get a decent burger at, I'm starving", Dean said as they passed by several crowded arcades. School must have just been let out because there was several dozen middle and high school children running around. Dean was in luck however as it wasn't long until they ran into a brightly colored restaurant by the name of "Burgerpalooza". The brothers decided to stop in for some food. Inside it was decorated much like a 50's dinner with plastic booth seats and neon lights. A young girl with short brown hair greeted them at the door, "Welcome to Burgerpalooza" she said excitedly to them in Japanese or English or whatever, "How many are in your party?". Sam replied "Two" to her in whatever language they are speaking I don't know just assume cartoon logic. They followed the girl to a small table by the windows and were handed menus written in Japanese with small English captions written underneath and a large amount of pictures and cartoons of burgers. They ordered their food and then started to discuss the task at hand.
"Okay, so we know these Millennium whosits are from ancient Egypt, right?" Sam started.
"Right", nodded Dean, "And we know that that rich guy Pegasus has one".
"And we know that they have some sort of power but we don't know what kind and what Pegasus wants to use them for".
"Or where the other ones are, for all we know they could be in the hands of someone worse".
Meanwhile the waitress was receiving their order from the kitchen but she couldn't help that her ears immediately picked up on something the Americans said from across the room. "Millennium" the word rang in her mind. What could they want with the Millennium items? Should she tell Yugi and the others?
