Hey guys! I know, I know. I am supposed to be working on Crossed Paths but I was re-watching Season 1 on DVD and I saw this scene on Home and this urgent need to do this came over and voila!! You have this neat little one-shot.

Hope you like.

Disclaimer: I dont own...well anything really. Dang I'm a bum!

Warning: Cursing ahead! The F and S words both!

One minute you're about to blast away some spirit that has your little brother pinned to a fucking wall, and the next you're staring in the face of your mother. Your mother who died twenty-fucking-two years ago.

Well, shit.

And there she is in all her radiant beauty, not looking a day older since you last saw her when you were only four. And then she says it.

"Dean."

With that one word, you're bombarded with images: bedtime snuggles, Mommy-and-Dean Days, singing and dancing in the kitchen making dinner for when Daddy comes home, being read to on quiet Sunday afternoons. The smell of honeysuckles and lavender fills your thoughts as she turns from you and to the baby boy who never knew her.

You don't know whether to feel happy for Sammy as he finally sees the mother he never got to know or jealousy that she says more to him. But it doesn't matter, because for one, brief, wonderful moment you forget your brother's 'shining' or your father's disappearance and bask in the feeling of just seeing your mother again.

But then she's gone, again. In a flash of fire, she leaves again and you don't think you can stand losing her again. You look around to see if she will come back, but you know it's futile. She's gone.

Again.
