As the dark sky turned red from the rising sun, it was still dark. After everything, we, I went through, our light; our sunshine will never come up again. A dark hole just covers us, leaving us vulnerable, empty, and lonely to see what the world is actually like. I have never thought that this day would actually come. But here it is, waiting for us to crumble down, like we all want to do.
The tip of the bright early sun was cold; the heavy air settling, suffocating us, whiles we try to hold on, but I can see everything is just as dark as before.
I know that I am not the only one that is feeling morose. Nudge, is silent, lose for words, shaking as she leaned on to me for support. Gazzy, with tears streaming down his face while he clutched onto Angel trying to be brave, as she was silent, and somber; never taking her eyes off of the two tombstones.
I was the one to blame for their deaths. If I wasn't so selfish in wanting to see, they would be alive and flying in the sky, free like angels. It was a price to pay for everything, eternally.
"We are all gathering here today to pay our respects to two wonderful people who fought their way till the end. Nobody was as strong as our Maximum Ride, and Fang. Their unselfishness to save the ones they love, despite what they have to give to our lord."
The preacher drones on, with nobody listening. We all new how brave they were. We all knew what they did. We all knew how they died.
Even with the rising sun coming up through the pine trees, our world is still dark as ever.
