A/N: Valawenel requested a story containing, "That rope is definitely not strong enough for the both of us, Parker. " So here you go :)
They'd been in tough situations before but you'd be hard pressed to find circumstances that Eliot Spencer hated more than on this job.
The security guards had decided to start their sweep a whole ten minute early and had run into Parker just seconds before she was about to make a clean exitwith the documents they needed. This had led to Eliot having to come in to rescue her. The only problem was that Nate told them to get out of there because the police were already on their way and the only conventional way out was blocked by the rapidly multiplying guards. The mastermind then decided the roof was their best option, an opinion the hitter violently disagreed with. So how was it that he came to be standing on top of the building?
Now Parker was pulling her gear out of her bag and Eliot was looking at her like she was insane because she didn't honestly think he was going down the side of the building, did she? He was all about control and swinging around in the air took away that control. He didn't even understand how Parker could do it, let alone enjoy it, but that was why the always butted heads. He was order and she was chaos. He was startled out if his thoughts by her moving around him and checking that the line was secure.
"Okay, let's go!" The thief said enthusiastically like they were doing this for fun and not as a last resort.
"That rope is definitely not strong enough for the both of us, Parker." Her expression turned serious.
"I know what I'm doing, Eliot." The hitter grimaced.
"I'm sure you do but-"
"Look," Parker cut him off abruptly. "Either you trust me or you don't. Do you trust me?" The hitter hesitated for a moment, really giving it some thought. Eliot Spencer wasn't a man who trusted people easily, it was the only reason he'd survived as long as he had. Now, this woman who had made her reputation on being insane was asking him to put his safety in her hands. Did he trust her? Eliot met her gaze.
And they jumped.
A/N: I know nothing about rappelling and it shows. Hope you liked it. Keep sending me your requests everyone! R&R
