Falling out of his hands, the dice go tumbling down falling with clanks on he wooden table. They danced around till finally they stopped with two words painted in blood faced with ceiling. A crooked smile on his lips, he read them out loud, even though it needed not to be. "Death" the word vibrated through out the plains, everyone faintly hearing the man. Hearing the fate of the one who dare try and save them.
His dead eyes smiling up at me, he awaited my reaction. My plea for mercy, for a redo, but I am no fool. I knew what was going to happen if I where to gamble my life for others with the man who can change and murder thousands with a wave of his orange hands. I had my hopes though, I thought if I had just tried I could have made a difference, have him stop his games of destruction.
with tear brimming eyes I took the knife at the edge of the betting table, the one that is encrusted with pink and purple jewels and with wisps carved into the handle. Gripping the handle, feeling his invisible minions urging me on to fulfill my end of the bet.
"As my dieing wish, may I ask why make up such games" I said as his minions raise my arm.
As his answer, he just waved his finger at me, tsking my answer.
With tears falling, I smiled, figuring as much. Then closing my eyes, I slammed the knife into my heart feeling the raging pan as it broke through the flesh and muscle. Forcing the smile, I twisted the knife and flung it out, tears burning my eyes.
His laughter filled the palace, his seal clapping to the beat of my injured heart. My vision blurring and being filler with blood, I staggered forward. Holding the knife tight to my side. "I'll be back, old man." I spat, blood flying towards him.
Smiling his clapping stopped and he approached me. Placing a hand on my shoulder he brought his face to my ear. "I'll be eagerly awaiting your return, Miss. Hero."
