Well, I was just thinking that LeafpoolxCrowfeather was DUMB, since, it was like, what, only two books since Feathertail died? And they didn't even KNOW each other! So here's my take on it. A bit angsty/tragic/dramatic in the beginning, though.

"Wake up, Feathertail," begged Crowpaw, standing over her limp body. "Please wake up..."

She fixed her grief-filled blue eyes on him. "Think you have nine lives, don't you...Don't make me save you again..."

"No..." he whispered, forcing out the words. "Don't leave me..."

"I won't," she murmured. "I will always be with you. I promise." And then her eyes closed, and she spoke no more. As Crowpaw stared down at her body in shock, he heard yowls coming from elsewhere in the cave. Yowls of jubilation, saying that they were free. Crowpaw closed his eyes.

The price had been too high.

Crowfeather sat by Feathertail's grave. He had chosen his own name, in memory of her.

Feathertail... he thought, remembering clearly how she had died.

Feathertail, I swear that I will never love another. For you died to save me, and this is the least I can repay you. Lowering his head in silent respect, he continued his vigil.

Crowfeather gazed at Leafpaw. The ThunderClan apprentice was beautiful, really, and so gentle...the way she carried the herbs to those wounded. Her movements were smooth and delicate. He was in love.

Again.

She was Leafpool now. And he still loved her. Despite the vow, he still loved her.

And he was going to tell.

"Like, I love you!" he said. "Even though Feathertail's been dead for just a little while, I love you with all my heart!"

"I love you too!" she screeched. "Even though I don't know you and I'm a medicine cat apprentice and we come from different Clans!"

They met in secret until Cinderpelt found out. They had been nuzzling each other joyfully, and were wrestling playfully.

"Hey, you, what are you doing?" Cinderpelt demanded. "Get your paws off my apprentice!"

"Hey! Leave him alone! I love him!" snapped Leafpool. She leaped at Cinderpelt and scratched her face. The two cats started to fight and slash at each other, until they finally pulled apart. Both of them were bleeding slightly, and Cinderpelt's sides were heaving.

"I have an idea! Let's run away together!" cried Crowfeather, coming up from behind all of a sudden.

"Yay! That's a great idea, Crowy!" said Leafpool. So they licked each other and ran away into the horizon.

"Hey, you! COME BACK HERE WITH MY APPRENTICE!" screamed Cinderpelt. But the two lovers paid her no attention. She cursed under her breath and started back to the camp. Firestar had to know.

They came back when Midnight told them the news. Afterwards, Leafpool decided to stay.

"I can't love you! The Clan comes first! And Cinderpelt's dead, so I'm the medicine cat now," she told Crowfeather.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" he screeched. "Fine then, but I'll always love you!" And he ran dramatically off over the horizon.
