The Secret is O u t

Have you ever seen those nut cases on the street that will either yell out crazy things of your future or do the classical 'I see dead people' crack? This is a story of a man who was classified as one of these characters. His name was Cloud Strife.

Cloud Strife has recently had many premonitions, and would see dead people in his sleep. At first he thought it was only a dream, but then they became more vivid. He senses the presence of the dreams around him; slight paranoia began to take over him. Many people thought he was crazy, he even became more distant from the friends he had made from said dreams. Although he knew there had to be something about these dreams for they wouldn't go away. Each night he sees a mysterious figure with a calm, soothing voice beckoning to him. One night while asleep, Cloud begins to communicate with the person. Her name was Aerith. Cloud and Aerith began to talk each night in his dreams. Aerith was always a good listener to Cloud's many stories. He suddenly has this feeling of calmness and assurance that someone is there for him, unlike people in the world out of his dreams.

"We're friends, right?"

Although it seems logically impossible to be friends with a ghost, Cloud cherished each of his dreams more than life itself. No one in his hometown ever treated him the way that Aerith has, so he felt they had some sort of bond. They had so much in common with each other. Rejected by their peers, always known as an outcast. One day as Cloud was almost killed and fell into darkness. This feeling was overwhelming. He reached out for Aerith, but she wasn't there. It wasn't long before darkness overcame him and he fell into a comatose state. A few hours later, he awakens in his room and ponders over all that has happened. He never realized before now that he really couldn't live without Aerith. Looking back on all that has happened, he comes to a conclusion.

He loves Aerith.

Although the one problem keeping them from being together, is that he is alive, and she is dead. Cloud begins to become very depressed. He finally found one person that really cares about him and she wasn't even alive. Suicidal thoughts wonder through his mind. 'No one would even miss me' he thinks. And as the thought of a forbidden love drove him up the wall, Cloud committed suicide to be with the one person he really loves. Sure, no one in the town knew exactly why he had committed this deed, he was just the crazy guy right?

He then awakens from his trance and sees Aerith. He goes into her warm embrace and they are together for eternity.
