This is a bout of inspiration brought on by the song "She Will Be Loved"… Not sure why I just decided to listen to it, but I had forgotten how much I adored it. This song can make incredible stories or movies or videos or anything you want! It's amazing!
She Would Be Loved…
Standing outside on the corner of the street, under the rain as it poured down in buckets and buckets and buckets; soaking him to the bone, he stood. He watched the house to his left, watching for a sign.
He had had her so many times before this; this scene played out over and over and over for them.
He would wait every day in the pouring rain for her to finally come out and say she needed to talk to him. Her fiery spirit was never a good enough cover…
Her broken smile was evident in everything she did.
She needed someone. But she had him. But she never seemed to notice that she had him.
He knew everything about her, there as he stood in the pouring rain. He knew she would go home hours earlier and try to get through it, but soon would break down and cry. And she would try to call him. But she would be too frightened or too nervous. But he knew she would eventually know to go outside into the rain.
When she said goodbye in the early day, he knew it meant absolutely nothing at all. He would see her that night; standing in the rain. On the corner of her street.
Where she would come to him and talk to him and he would make her feel beautiful and he would make her happy. He wanted her to feel beautiful. He wanted to be the one to do that every time. He did already. But she had always belonged to someone else.
Chase. Jack. Omi. Clay. Wuya. Ashley.
She had always belonged to someone else, but he was always there to talk to her in the rain and make her feel beautiful.
He had always been there, through it all. He would stand in the pouring rain when her heart was broken. When her experimenting went wrong. When she was too terrified to break up with him. When she feared for her life. He stayed with her in the rain and would catch her when she fell.
She fell so many times. But none of those times seemed to be for him.
He didn't mind, though. He would wait in the pouring rain as long as he needed. Until her broken smile was mended. Until she no longer fell. Until she was loved.
And she would be loved…
