Ch. 1

16 year old Christine Daae has just gotten her first job at a famous restrant that serves pizza and has many games. She has been given the job as a cashier...

It was her first day. She was excited. Oh I wander what I will be doing today. I'm so excited. It was 4:15 and she was set to be there at 4:30. Upon her arrival, she was greeted by a tall, dark haired, rather handsome young man.

' Hello. You must be Christine. Are you ready for your first day? ' The man asked.

' Yes. ' She smiled. She was kind of shy. Especially when it came to going to a strange place and meeting new people.

' Well lets just start with a little tour and an introduction. I'm Erik. I'm going to be showing you around and starting you out with your training tonight. Is that alright with you? '

Christine just nodded. ' Sounds good to me. '

Many thoughts began to race through Eriks mind. Shes kind of cute. I wander if shes always this shy?

' So... how old are you Christine? ' He asked.

' 16. I'll be 17 in two months. Why do you ask? '

' Oh I was just wandering. Are you good with money? '

' You might say that. ' She smiled. He was kind of cute himself. She was already liking the job and she had only been there for five minutes.

' Well then...lets get you started. ' Erik smiled as he began the tour. ' Back here is the area we like to call the show room. We do birthday parties and group functions here. Then of course we have the game room and the bathrooms and the kitchen. Not anything really interesting back here to see. Oh and I must tell you, these big machines, dont touch them. Especially not that one over there. Its really hot. '

Christine let out a laugh. ' Ok I promise not to touch anything in here. '

' You better. I personally, dont feel like filling out a bunch of paper work on your first day because you got hurt. Come on now. Lets get that drawer counted for you. First things first, it must be $200 exact. Not a penny over or less. If you ever find that, then you let me know. I'll be sure to fix it for you. Do you have any questions so far? '

' Not that I can think of. Are you going to help me out, because I have no idea how to work this thing you call a computer. '

' Oh no. I'm leaving that up to you. You have to learn all by yourself. ' Christines' eyes grew wide. ' I'm only joking with you. Dont freak out on me now. '

' Oh thank God. '

The hours went by pretty fast that night. Christine had caught on rather quickly. She was adjusting to the new surroundings and the whole dealing with people and money quite well. When the time came for her to go home, Erik came to pull her drawer.

' Well Christine, its 8. Are you ready to checkout and go home? '

' Yeah. I guess so. '

She sounded so sweet. She was so innocent.

' Well then... lets see how you did. ' Within 10 minutes, he had her drawer counted. ' You are perfectly even. Not a penny short. I'm impressed, especially since its your first day. '

' Really? '

' Yeah. You are free to clock out and go home now. Unless of course you want to stick around and hang with us for a few hours more? ' He was messing with her again.

' No thank you. I have to get home and prepare for a calculus exam I have tomorrow. '

' Well you have a nice night Miss Christine. Take care. '

' You two. ' She smiled then walked out the door and headed home. She had enjoyed her first night of work, and was looking forward to the many more fun filled nights there. However, now she had to work on preparing for that calculus exam.
