She sits by the window,

Watching the world drift past,

The bird it sings a sweet song,

Of sorrow and of pain,

She knew the feeling all too well,

The one of never seeing them again.

It happened in a darkened room,

As the lightning struck,

She fell down and went away,

The spell it hurt her so,

But little were they all to know,

She would never rise again.

All the tears that were shed,

All the anger and pain,

All the screaming,

All the talking,

But it will never be the same,

For she will never rise again.
